Find the Good

Ever notice how much of your life is shaped by what you take in?
Not just food, although that’s part of it.
But everything.
What you eat.
Who you spend your time with.
What you listen to.
What you read.
It all gets in there. And it all does something to you.
Some things fuel you.
Some things drain you.
And most days, it’s a mix.
We can try to stack the deck in our favor.
Eat food that makes us feel good (most of the time).
Spend time with people who make us think, laugh, and grow.
Pay attention to things that remind us there’s still a lot of good out there.
We do have some control over that.
But not all of it.
Because no matter how intentional we are, life still hands us things we wouldn’t choose.
The news is heavy.
The grocery store is full of stuff that looks good in the moment and doesn’t feel so great later.
And sometimes we have to deal with people who just… take more than they give.
That’s part of living this perfectly, imperfect life, right?
I think it's less about trying to eliminate the negative.
And more about what we do with it when it shows up.
What we focus on.
What we let stick.
What we choose to carry forward.
Because even in the middle of all that noise, there are still good stories.
Still good people.
Still good moments.
Maybe it's about learning to notice those things every day? Training our brains to look for them.
And focusing on the things in life that make us smile and bring us joy.
Find the good.
In everything.
It's there if you're willing to look for it.
